How much does it cost?
You need to have a budget of at least $1500 to do a Boudoir Shoot well. We don't have any minimum orders or set packages, but know from experience that clients will spend between $1500-$3500 on their Boudoir Photos.
We do have payment plans available to make it easier if you cant afford that amount all at once.
The Photo session itself is $120 for a mini Session and $240 for a full Boudoir Experience. You are then purchasing a combination of wall art, boudoir albums, slideshows etc.
Makeup and Hair Styling is done by a professional that we book for your session. We only use makeup artists that we have a long term relationship with and can totally trust to do a great job. Their fee is usually around $150 and you pay them directly on the day.
Prints range from $105 up to $770 for very large wall portraits.
Albums range from $1100 up to $2950
You are welcome to make an enquiry if you would like a full price list sent to you.
What if I don't like the photos?
We hope this doesn't ever happen, but if it does, please DO tell us and we will be happy to chat through the details and see if we can help by either redoing your photo session at our cost or even refunding your money.
Your experience is of utmost importance to us, so we will do whatever it takes to make it special. All of our work is covered by a 100% satisfaction money back guarantee.
Do you do couples Boudoir shoots?
In some circumstances the answer is yes. The focus of the boudoir session is always on the female as this is the style we have developed and the Vintage Sets are made for that feminine feel. We can incorporate your male partner into the photo session for some of the shots.
If you are after a more relaxed couples photography then you may like to consider booking with our sister studio 'Family Image Photography' where we love to photograph couples in our garden studio outdoors. But this is a more romantic and carefree style of photography and whilst at times it can be 'intimate', it is not what would be described as a 'sensual' style of imagery.
You can see examples of Family Image at the main website www.familyimage.com.au by clicking here.
Do you provide lingerie and outfits?
We do have a range or props, hats, gloves, corsets, shawls, masks, chairs, materials etc here in the studio but don't carry more personal items like lingerie.
You will need to purchase these for your photo session and we can recommend stores that will provide you with good service and a good range when it comes to this.
www.maryholland.com.au - Great quality and customer service especially when you visit their stores. Christina is the manager at our local Castle Hill Store and is familiar with Boudoir Image.
www.elegantlyscant.com - A Boutique Lingerie store in Paddington (Sydney) by appointment and also available through their online store. What also makes them unique is that they make their own lingerie and can even custom design pieces for you. They have very generously offered a 20% discount to all Boudoir Image Clients.
www.dreamy.com.au (Australian online store- We can provide a great discount code once you book your session)
www.honeybirdette.com.au for some interesting and a little more edgy lingerie.
It is far better for you to own the lingerie and outfits anyway so that you can show off the real thing later on!
Do you provide Hair and Makeup?
We can organise a professional makeup artist and hair stylist to come in for your session. Her fee is around $150 to do Makeup and Hair and you pay her directly. Please let us know if you would like us to organise this for your session.
We do highly recommend using her services as it makes a significant difference to the final photos.
My husband would prefer to have more revealing photos in his gift. Do you do this as well?
In this website we have purposely kept this imagery very stylish and more suggestive rather than too revealing. This is mainly because we wanted to ensure that Boudoir Image did not turn into a pornography website.
Most of our clients will want to do something a little more revealing in their session and this is done with the utmost in style and presentation.
Can I request a female photographer?
Boudoir Image only has a male photographer (Brian Chapman) photographing this style of imagery. He has been photographing for 20 years and his professional but relaxed personality along with a creative eye is what brings out the best in you. He is happily married to Kaylene who also works at the studio.
As a male photographer, Brian has only one purpose, to make you look absolutely stunning from a mans point of view. He is very good at making an image incredibly sensual whilst still being classy and a little mysterious.
On top of that, you will find him an absolute gentlemen in the photo session. He will chat with you to discuss what you like and are comfortable with, showing you examples from other photo sessions where you can point to favourite images.
Brian knows that for some of his clients, it is taking all their courage to do a Boudoir session. So he will patiently guide you through the session, showing you exactly how to pose, which angles work best for you and also helping to create some beautiful and interesting expressions.
We do have female assistants available and you can request a female assistant in the room if this makes you feel comfortable.
Please take a look through the galleries and the testimonials to see comments and photos from other clients. You will find that they found the experience of working with Brian to be very pleasant and professional.
Do you sell digital files?
Short answer? - No.
A couple of reasons - we don't want our boudoir photography to be used for any commercial purposes. It is for personal use only.
- Secondly, there is a lot of work that goes into a Boudoir Photo Session on the day plus all the editing of images to take them to a finished result. The final stage of that is the printing of the retouched images. If this is done on a low quality cheap printer, all the work that has gone into those images is wasted.
If you are going to the effort of doing a Boudoir Photo shoot and paying for professional work, we want to ensure that is what we give you. A finished Boudoir Album printed on archive quality paper and albums, or beautiful framed wall art for your bedroom.
We want these photos to still look good in 50 years when you want to shock the grandkids! :-)
We do have slideshows as a product if you love to have images viewable on your computer or TV.
Do I need to know how to Pose?
No you don't need any experience at modeling or posing. Brian is a Master at Feminine Posing Techniques and even teaches other photographers this important skill.
He will coach you throughout the day in how to stand, move, breath and even think, so that you really do feel beautiful and elegant. It is a skill you will have for the rest of your life and will improve every photo you have taken.
It is the same techniques used by professional actors and models and the first part of your shoot will be learning how to move and use your curves.
Is there any age limit?
Yes, you need to be 18 and over for any lingerie or sensual photography.
We have clients so far ranging from 18 to 60 and all of them have enjoyed the experience and been thrilled with the results.
Do you do commercial photography for Escorts, Sex Workers, Prostitutes, Strippers?
No. It goes against what these photos are for.
We want women to be able to give a beautiful gift to their husband or partner, or if they are single just to themselves.
Our Boudoir Photography cannot be used for any commercial purpose.
